Surrey Police Service Partners with Brndwrx to Produce Bold Recruitment Film for Experienced Officers

Vancouver, BC, April 30, 2024 — Surrey Police Service (SPS) has selected Brndwrx to concept and produce a recruitment film designed specifically to attract experienced officers. The project will depart from traditional recruitment formats and invite officers to join a future-focused policing movement in Surrey.

Rather than selling a job, the film will tell the story of joining something bigger. The creative will be cinematic in tone, elevated in production, and centered on experienced officers who want to help build what comes next in a growing city. No staged walk and talks. No generic montage. A sharp invitation to “Join What’s Next.”

“Experienced officers can spot clichés from a mile away,” said JJ Moreno, BrndWrx Creative Director “Our goal is to create a film that feels real, moves fast, and earns attention in the first seconds. It is built to start conversations and convert interest.”

The film will serve as the creative centerpiece of a year-long recruitment effort. Brndwrx plans to pair the hero film with precision distribution, including geo-fencing around select police facilities in British Columbia and Alberta, and localized creative versions for priority markets such as Calgary and Edmonton. The campaign will also test thematic cutdowns, including versions that highlight incentives and relocation support, to match officer motivations while staying true to SPS values.
